"SHAMAN"

THE FIRST IN A NEW SERIES OF BLACK AND GOLD ABSTRACT ACEOS.

TITLE: SHAMAN

Created on 300# watercolor paper, this work has an elegant, yet primitive feel. Pieces of torn, twisted shapes of wire, painted gold, are imbedded into the black background paint. Bits of gold paintskins are added, as well as gold painted, sheer fabric. The entire work is finished with a glossy varnish, to protect this labor intensive piece, which also gives a leathery look.

It's available in my ETSY shop.

Thanks for looking!

Much Ado About Typography

I love typography... script types, typewriter keys, scrabble tiles, anything that represents the written letter.

Here is one of a new series called 'Typography and Nature' in which I have used fabrics printed with typographical elements, superimposed with thread-stitched natural elements.

"Blue Bird and Poppies" by Dana Marie

Greetings Everyone!

This is my first post here at ATC & ACEO Enthusiasts Blog!

"Blue Bird and Poppies"~ ACEO
2.5" X 3.5"(2 1/2 in X 3 1/2in)

Standard Trading Card Size
These are wonderful affordable collectables!
A trading card folder/book filled with ACEOs makes a great coffee table book!Or they can be matted and framed for beautiful miniature art! I personally would like to collect enough to cover a coffee table and then purchase a fitted glass to play on top.

This original collectable bird ACEO/ mini painting is created with professional acrylic on an acid free Strathmore 246 lb weight and sealed with a light coat of clear acrylic protective gloss.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating this piece!

"Blue Bird and Poppies" Sold and is no longer available.

Thank you for your interest!

Border Collie watercolour painting 7"x10" - "...the lonely sea and the sky" by Susan Alison

Monty, sitting on haunches, paw on chest, sombre tone, reciting:

"Sea-Fever"

I must down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking.

ACEO Original WATERCOLOR bird flower ATC DW WnW MLES

ACEO - 2,5" x 3,5" Watercolor on 14o lbs Arches grain satinè.
I got inspired by the sparrows that are just arriving here and by the cherry trees that are typical in my zone, blossoms are all over also if the weather is making jokes and is warm one day and frozen the day after.

How to Make a Fish Pretty

In response to a challenge to create "off-colored animals", I created this "Striped Bass". He was interesting, but not pretty. So I added glittery metallic quilting lines, interwoven glittery tulle, metal fishy buttons, czech glass beads... and then he was pretty!
