Hi I just wanted to share something new with you!
I have never really put any effort forth in formal training, in the art of sketching. Although my desire to learn is truly strong!
My hubby thinks you should learn everything on your own.
No Books no Classes so on...I must admit thus far, the thought on digital art "I have been successful"! I love to draw and even though I could use a course or two.lol I will continue to learn on my own. So I present a new kind of art today to you all!

QUEEN BEE COFFEE FAIRY

Photo ACEO: Jellyfish

Well, something different from me. I have listed ACEO photos before, but only a few. I printed this out as an ACEO, and it is stunning. I plan to keep one for myself.

A 'lucky' shot at a marine aquarium of a jellyfish.

The shapes and transparency almost make this 3D, and the colors are stunning - like a 'glow'.

A shadow comes through the living room and reaches the ligh attracted by the sweet fragrance of the gingerbread biscuits and coffee. Maybe a taste... but: "Is this really for Santa???"

Yesterday was the NFAC (Nibblefest Art Card) day at E-bay. Every month we have a Theme and we prepare something on it, any size and any media is allowed and a tiny price to involve people to bid on it.

New York Santa - ACEO

Three years ago, me and my family went to New York for a Christmas short vacation. It was our first time in USA and everything sounded so special and so different from home. Manhattan was a "tourbillon" of colors the trafic was terrific, and people was so frenetic in their christmas shopping.

We walked for miles and our feet were burning by this, but we stood outside from 7 o'clock in the morning, 'till midnight trying to see everything an all.

This Santa Clause remained in my mind, and I painted him in the way I can remember, because he was the only person remained in the street in a lonely night, shaking his bell in a corner of a street. I talk with him for a while with both my two children watching as if was dialing with a ghost!

All over the world, at Christmas time we can see little mouses busy in the research of the "Perfect Christmas Tree".

Obviously anyone wants to have the most beautiful, this is why the hunt starts very early in the season.

Our mice has been very lucky and found the one that fits to his ideal, the main work now, is to drag it home, the main hard work!

More on my ACEO Deck Diamonds

What is this fascination with playing cards? Is it something new? I think if I reach way back into the memory banks, I recall playing cards with my mom. But its only a faint memory, and I'm not even sure if its true. Then there was concentration, trying to remember where the cards were hidden. Did I play that with Robert? Or by myself? Oh and the cheap trick "want to play 52 pickup?" I clearly recall tons of games of 500 rummy with Megan. It never even mattered who won. It seems throughout my life there was this fascination with holding the cards, arranging the cards, sorting the cards, observing the cards, touching the cards.

No wonder I can't stop flipping over and over through my ACEO 'deck', or at least the diamonds. Does no one else share my fascination??

A New ACEO Deck

This weekend I started listing my ACEO Deck. This is the set of 54 ACEOs I am creating from prints of the first 54 ACEOs I created, backed by a matching original piece of textile art.

The 1, 2 and 3 of Diamonds are also very yellow, with backgrounds of a yellow fabric dotted with spots of gold. The numbers and pips on these cards are hand-stamped, the red fabric diamonds are hand cut and glued in place. The "faux stitching" around the diamonds is done with red pigma ink, and on each diamond a little crystal is glued in place (Gemtac is a great product for gluing beads and crystals to fabric.)
