I have found challenges to be a mechanism that brings out the best in an artist. Sometimes we have so many subjects, styles and media we want to explore, it's hard to decide where to start. So challenges give me a starting point.
For the month of June, my challenge was to create an abstract ACEO.
I browsed through pictures from trips to art museums, and remembered how much I enjoyed the works of Kandinsky at the Pompidou Center in Paris.
This is my "Tribute to Kandinsky" done in fabric, threads and ink.
