Vintage Vineyard ACEO

This painting was done on location (plein air) at a very old vineyard just as the grapes were getting ready to be harvest. You can see the wonderful texture and the brushstrokes on this ACEO. Done on a 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch art trading card size. This is a fine art ORIGINAL painting done on YUPO professional art paper. The gallery quality acrylic paint I use floats on top of this amazing paper and doesn't absorb into it. The colors are amazingly vibrant and have lots of texture. YUPO is resistant to creasing, tearing or warping in anyway. It will always lay perfectly flat. Shipped in it's own protective bag. See this auction here: Vintage Vineyard

This is a concept piece for a children's book I'm working on. I got caught up in the eBay Raven ACEO ArtCard craze a few weeks ago and while painting this series of ravens, I was inspired to do a children's book. Usually I will do little detailed paintings in order to work out my ideas and in the end sometimes list them on eBay as ACEO's. This time it was the reverse. Regardless, it was fun to do.
They say that ACEO's are a great way for many people to buy art at an affordable price. Who knows? Your ACEO might even end up being an original piece by an artist of a published book some day. (smile)

This Art Card is now available on eBay...
